lyrics

Brothers I have lost
Others I have found
Always paid, whatever the cost
My ear down to the ground

Eye to eye but not face to face
And while we defy Father Time
We’re running our own race

Count up the years and see we belong
of a time but not of a place
Here we are and we look at ourselves
Eye to eye but not face to face

Crying through the laughter
and lying through the pain
Gotta get a hold of myself
Climb in all the way ….. yeah

Eye to eye but not face to face
And while we defy Father Time
We’re running our own race

Count up the years and see we belong
of a time but not of a place
Here we are and we look at ourselves
Eye to eye but not face to face

Oh, and the road we know
Be it strange and different to ride
There’s no reason to let go
As long as we see eye to eye

Westward passing through The Gate
Chased a storm that can’t be caught
Wait for me, but I might be late
It’s different than I thought … yeahhhhh

Eye to eye but not face to face
And while we defy Father Time
We’re running our own race

Count up the years and see we belong
of a time but not of a place
Here we are and we look at ourselves
Eye to eye but not face to face

Solo

Off in the desert wandering
Searching for a sound
Life is not worth squandering
Better lost and found

Eye to eye but not face to face
And while we defy Father Time
We’re running our own race

Count up the years and see we belong
of a time but not of a place
Here we are and we look at ourselves
Eye to eye but not face to face

Oh, and the road we’re on is long
And we pass the time in song
There is nothing to do but try
As long as we see eye to eye
